Year 3 ~ Gingko Class

This term our main topic was Food. In Science, the children learnt about how living things get their food and why there is a need for different types of food. They then created a healthy food plate. The children also learnt about the human skeleton.
In Geography we looked at where food comes from, how food is transported around the world, the journey of a banana to the UK and Fair Trade. We began our topic by tasting 3 different types of cheese: Cheddar, Feta and Paneer. The children enjoyed tasting the cheese and used a wide variety of language to describe them.
We also learnt about how our food comes from the farm to our fork.
